Meet Our Staff
Ilan Roth: Ilan was born in Israel to English speaking parents. After serving in the IDF for 3 years (!!), Ilan got his Bachelors degree from the Open University in Jewish Studies. Ilan has many years of experience working with diaspora Jewry, having gone on shlichut to Vienna and serving as the head of the Bnei Akiva European and FSU desk. Currently, Ilan is the director of Yavneh Olami as well as the head of the Mizrachi's Young Generation Department.

Aryeh Solomon: Aryeh was also born in Israel to English speaking parents. After high school, Aryeh began studying in the hesder yeshiva in Yerucham. After his army service as a commander in the paratroopers division, Aryeh continues his hesder learning at the prestigious Yeshivat Har Etzion (a.k.a. "Gush"). Aryeh received his teaching degree at Herzog College and in addition to teaching at elementary schools, Aryeh has also run the OU's youth program, NESTO, and has worked at M'Berashit. Currently, he works as the assistant director at Yavneh Olami.

Beth Zalcman: Beth was born in Baltimore ('Balmore'- as she says), Maryland and made aliyah to Bet Shemesh. She graduated from Bar Ilan University with a degree in communications, which comes in handy at the office. She has lots of experience working with Jewish youth and young adults having worked at summer camps, Midreshet Lindenbaum, and in Yavneh Olami's own SIP programs (which she highly recommends). She currently works at Yavneh Olami as our programs coordinator.

Daniel Cohen: Daniel hails from the little-known city of London, England. After a gap year in Israel and several more in London, he made aliyah with his family to the better-known settlement Elazar. He currently works as the assistant director of Mizrachi's Young Generation Department, lending his time and energy to the Yavneh Olami staff.

Meyer Sterman: Meyer was born and raised in Jerusalem to American parents. He spent 6 years in Yeshiva and served in the IDF as a spokesperson. He's participated and run various educational activites throughouth the years, such as NCSY, Mesora, and Camp Dror among others. He is now works as our lone soldier liason.
